Practical Magic

Pain, physical or psychic, is stuck energy. Our body systems need practical and symbolic methods of expression to move fixed energy. Life wants to move. When I was younger listening to loud music and dancing all night were intuitive ways I moved pain out of my body. Now I find daily body shaking, physical art making and energy work help stuck patterns. Can you think of something you intuitively do to work with pain?
My studio space has become a temple for this action. Some cultures provide collective experiences that provide space to find equilibrium through ritual. We have lost a lot of that knowledge but can learn from other traditions to relocate our innate abilities. Reiki is a Japanese healing tradition and Zero Balancing has its roots in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Osteopathy. When you come to me for energy bodywork you are entering a space dedicated to transforming energies!
Though this may feel woo-woo, it is actually quite practical. Engaging in different forms of therapy, such as talk therapy, creative expression, or bodywork, is highly beneficial. These therapies assist in releasing tension and resetting our nervous system, which is often overwhelmed by sensory inputs, emotional dynamics, and traumas. Increasingly, we are relearning that physical pain and disorders evolve from energetic and emotional patterns, sometimes originating from early life experiences.
Here's a view of the studio area, enveloped by fields, trees, and the sounds of birds. Feel free to explore the woods trails before or after our session. Our time together will be approximately an hour long, conducted fully clothed on a massage table using gentle touch, with optional music and aromatherapy, and surrounded by art. Clients* often depart feeling calm, at ease, connected, and lighter.

And speaking of discounts...For the month of July, I am offering an automatic 30% off any art purchases through my website. Take a look around the site or come by Applewoods Gallery in Marlboro, VT. Enjoy the height of summer and thank you for your continued support!
Warmly,
Jess
