Jess Weitz is a multidisciplinary visual artist based in Marlboro, Vermont. With over 30 years of experience, her practice spans photography, painting, found-object sculpture, writing, and ceramics. She often blends these mediums in innovative, quietly defiant ways—embracing what she calls “soft rebellion.”

Rooted in Buddhist philosophy and a reverence for place (topophilia), Jess explores themes of intimate ecology and embodied spirituality. Her work frequently incorporates natural materials—such as found plants and soil—to create earth pigments, grounding her process in the poetic and philosophical dimensions of ecological storytelling. Through her art, she invites a reconnection to body, land, and the unseen.
