The Gift of Reflection

ree

Amid the whirlwind of daily life, many of us yearn for moments of quiet reflection and deeper understanding. This holiday season offers an opportunity to give gifts to yourself and others that go beyond the material—gifts that inspire insight, encourage mindfulness, and foster understanding. These thoughtful moments and presents can provide lasting value, helping loved ones pause, reflect, and connect with themselves and the world around them from a wider perspective.

Whether you want to nurture a friend’s curiosity, find connection, or simply share a moment of calm, I would like to highlight some of my my offerings and those of others!

Insightful gifts can:

  • Encourage mindfulness and presence

  • Inspire new ways of thinking

  • Support emotional well-being

  • Foster creativity and curiosity

  • Create lasting change

Books That Spark Reflection and Understanding

Books remain one of the most powerful gifts for insight. A well-chosen book can open doors to new ideas, philosophies, and ways of seeing the world.

Life Unfolding

Writer and Ecologist Katherine Larson's Wedding of the Foxes traverses the time frame of her unfolding life as a mother and writer, while bridging connections to deceased female Japanese writers through intimate letters, the act of repairing teapots, and delicate observations of nature. Dwelling in the exquisite beauty of fragile life.

I humbly offer you two books of poetry, Elusive Creature and Homo Sapiens, and a multi genre book, Apprentice to a Mountain, of my own that also explore female identity and times of crisis, with original artwork. They can be purchased through my website.

New Boundaries

Harvard psychiatrist Judy Tsafrir, MD has written an extraordinary book Sacred Psychiatry, that bridges the worlds of western psychiatry, holistic intuitive practice and naturopathic medicine to address rampant mental health struggles in our inhumane culture.

Profound Fiction

Ocean Vuong is a shining light both through his writing and his tender interviews. He is unflinching and compassionate in his explorations of the immigrant experience, young queer explorations, New England's poverty and working environments and addiction. I am just finishing his book The Emperor of Gladness. Here is an interview with him reading from this title and discussing his writing.

Irene Sola, a writer from Spain, offers us When I Sing, Mountains Dance, a boundary dissolving novel expressing our polyphonic, interconnected world.

Intuitive Readings

We are in chaotic and transformational times. 2026 is a pivot point for a new era, starting in mid February. Grief and fear naturally arise in these conditions and intuitive insight can help us navigate change and shed what is no longer needed. Intuitive readings utilize guiding symbols, Tarot, astrological details, Sabian symbols, and reader channeling to offer a soaring eagle's eye view of your life and soul purpose.

I have been honored to provide these readings to hundreds of people to date, each one experiencing their own profound shift in relationship to their life's unfolding. To see a sample of a reading and to order a reading or gift certificate.
