My goodness, I have not sat here to write to you since April. Many lifetimes ago for me, how about you?
I have so much to share with you! My body has moved through cold rain and lush ground; hiked the hot, high elevation desert with time displayed in the strata of rocks; experienced new levels of training in energy medicine; sifted through images for a show; had kids here and not here; held signs of protest in community; gasped at the news alone on the couch.
May was full of travel and art making, as I participated in the local Community Asylum Seekers May Arts Marathon. The fundraiser happened to coincide with my solo RV trip to New Mexico! It was intoxicating to discover my own rhythm, as I moved through the elemental rhythms of geologic time between Anasazi cliff dwellings, Acoma's sky city, Ghost Ranch, and lava fields. I learned to speak gently to myself about my fear, whether it was of a mountain lion, being alone on remote trails, or weird men at gas stations.

As I drove through state parks and reservations, I made spontaneous land art installation with a few materials I was traveling with and found objects. Co-creation with the land, above is one of the pieces. This photograph and three other pieces will be part of the CASP Art Show at Soft Spot Gallery in Brattleboro, VT. I will be the gallery sitter on July 25th if you'd like to come say hi!

Over the past few years I have been both teaching, and providing one to one sessions of support utilizing Reiki and intuitive guidance. Reiki is a form of biofield (energy) medicine that is so gentle and effective that it is offered in Oncology departments across the country to provide relaxation, pain relief, digestive calm and a sense of general wellbeing during life's challenges. I am constantly amazed at the impact these sessions have and am leaning into learning more about the invisible energetic world and biofield medicine.
In the later stages of my life, my focus will be on being an energetic practitioner. I have been training in Zero Balancing and Therapeutic Touch, integrating these three modalities into my practice to provide a profoundly nurturing and healing experience for both your physical and energetic body. This work naturally extends from my longstanding personal practices and interests.
These integrated sessions occur on a massage table while you remain fully clothed. Lasting approximately an hour, they involve gentle touch and light body manipulation. They can assist your body in managing pain, distress, fatigue, and other similar challenges. The experience is restorative and peaceful.
Curious? For the summer, I am offering reduced rate sessions to practice this integrative approach. If you are interested, please reach out and we can schedule an appointment in my studio in Marlboro or at your home. Thursdays and Fridays are available currently.
My website is (mostly) updated and I invite you to poke around. I will be having a summer ceramics sale in the coming weeks so keep your eyes out for that announcement.
May we all touch the wonder of the first day, hold life in a wide embrace, and keep our hearts open.
Take good care,
Jess
