Maternal Line is a book and exhibition containing word and image to explore inherited familial and archetypal feminine identity. I use the traditions of mythological imagery and storytelling to animate the physical and psychological realms women inhabit in their families.
 
I have merge the female characters from my family narratives into a single anonymous SHE to emphasis the repeated nature of their experience. These stories of 19th and 20th century life are combined with a mythological narrative and a dream narrative from my present life.
