Welcome...

I have two online offerings for 2019/2020:

  • Inner Landscapes (November 15 2019 - April 15 2020) explore your relationship to the land and personal mythology through art and writing.  ~Interactive~

At the beginning of each month I will offer a theme and a way through word or image to explore the theme.

Each week I will share another piece of inspiration along our theme and a reminder to share your creations with the group. We will each respond to each other's posts as a gentle observer. No fixing a struggle, no critique. Just noticing what stands out, what is heard.

Each class member has a login and can post and respond through our class forum. Please contact me if you have technical questions.

  • Unbound: Female Archetypes and Doll Making (Spring 2020) explore female archetypes and deities through mythology and personal narrative.

Dolls have existed since the beginning of humankind, and in every corner of the globe, serving as companions and playthings but also as containers of ancient wisdom, healing and transformational powers. Contemporary dolls can have the same power as ancient dolls, to hold multiple layers of meaning and intention, both for the maker and the observer. They can serve as mirrors and companions to our deepest, truest selves.

We will spend 8 weeks creating 4 personally significant figures, through a process of examining archetypes through writing; looking at figures made from many cultures; and the creation process itself. No prior experience necessary. You will be giving guidance for working with  found objects, cloth, wool roving, and clay.

Inspired by the work of Marion Woodman, Carolyn Myss, Jean Shinoda Bolen, Clarissa Pinkola Estes, Barbara Kobe, and many others!

You are more than welcome to try the first month for free - see if its a good fit for your year. Sample class ready soon...

Throughout the class I will share images and myths along our theme and ways to explore these archetypes in your own life through figure making.

We will share our process and creations throughout the class. Each class member has a login and can post and respond through our class forum.

Class pages will come available on first day of class.
